Hi, I’m Nicole Sponseller—photographer, storyteller, memory keeper, and proud professional people-watcher.
I’ve been obsessed with photography for as long as I can remember. I see the world a little differently—I notice the tiny details, the in-between moments, the split-second interactions that most people miss. The way a child instinctively reaches for their mother’s hand. The way two people look at each other when they think no one is watching. The way light catches in someone’s eyes when they laugh.
That’s what I capture—the real, unscripted, beautifully imperfect moments that tell a story.
For me, photography is more than just pictures—it’s time travel. It’s a way to freeze a feeling, to bottle up emotions, to give people a portal back to their happiest memories. I don’t just take photos—I create something that will make you feel something every time you look at it.
People always say I make friends easily, and that’s because I don’t believe in “strangers”—just friends I haven’t met yet. Whether I’m photographing your wedding, your family, or your special event, I won’t feel like an outsider with a camera—I’ll feel like I’ve been part of your story all along. My goal is to make you comfortable, make you laugh, and make sure you experience your moment fully while I capture it for you.
I specialize in event and family photography, blending natural light, crisp details, and a storytelling approach to create images that feel authentic and timeless. My photos are meant to feel real, raw, and uniquely you—because the best moments are the ones you didn’t even realize were happening.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me teaching high school, spending time with my husband, or hanging out with my Labradoodle, Maggie—who is my best friend, my shadow, my greatest source of joy, and who will defy all odds and live forever and ever. (Because obviously.)
My dream? To have my work published, printed, and displayed in homes and magazines—to give families, couples, and individuals images that they’ll treasure for a lifetime.
